The San Leandro Medical Center was honored with an “A” grade by The Leapfrog Group in its biannual Hospital Safety Grades report. Leapfrog reviews hospital clinical data and assigns hospitals grades based on approximately two dozen safety measures that analyze patient injuries, medical and medication errors and infections.
The Kaiser Permanente Fremont and San Leandro Medical Centers both earned the Get With The Guidelines - Quality Achievement Awards from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. They were each awarded a Stroke Gold Plus with Target: Stroke Elite Plus Honor Roll and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.

Blood Pressure and Diabetes drop-In stations are now open Monday through Saturday, from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M. Located in the Healthy Living Centers at the Fremont and San Leandro Medical Centers and at the Union City Medical Offices.
