Everyone 6 months and older should get the latest COVID-19 vaccine to protect themselves from severe illness. Due to limited supply of the 2023-24 COVID-19 vaccines, Kaiser Permanente will not be routinely providing COVID-19 vaccination for some or all age groups for the rest of the summer. Vaccination for all recommended age groups will resume when the 2024-25 COVID-19 vaccines are available in September.
It’s especially important to get vaccinated if you’re at high risk for complications from COVID-19. Older people and those with weakened immune systems have a greater risk for hospitalization and even death from the virus. However, even healthy children and adults can get seriously ill from COVID-19.
