Cancer expertise across our network

Kaiser Permanente’s wide network of connected care teams work collaboratively and use a variety of tools to keep our members as healthy as possible.

No matter the type of cancer — rare, common, or complex — we have a specialist in our network. Our primary care doctors and cancer care teams consult our vast network of specialists across the country. They collaborate to review and advise on treatment plans and share best practices.

Each cancer case is unique, and our highly specialized cancer care teams treat it that way. They take into account your medical history, needs, and personal preferences to find a cancer treatment plan that’s best for your cancer type and lifestyle. With some of the most advanced treatments available, your care team can fight your cancer as aggressively as needed. But they’ll also do it with as little impact on the rest of your body as possible. Because our goal isn’t just a quick recovery — it’s helping you live the life you want.

Your electronic medical record connects your whole care team to the latest information on your progress. They can view your doctor visit notes and history at any time, so you don’t have to repeat yourself or worry about extra paperwork — just focus on your treatment and recovery. Plus, you can access your own records anytime on kp.org or in our app.

Together, we’ve treated more cancer patients than most providers. And our specialists regularly collaborate to share the latest research, treatment protocols, and best practices. This means every care team across our organization is well-equipped to address the most complex cancer cases.
