Where I practice
I was born and raised in Hawaii. Early on in life, my parents instilled in me the importance of education and helping people. For as long as I can remember, all I ever wanted to do was to be a doctor. As a child I would play with my toy doctor's kit for hours on end imagining all of the people I could help when I grew up.
About my practice
Volunteering at local hospitals confirmed for me that I needed to pursue my childhood dream of becoming a doctor, so I pursued a career in medicine. As a family medicine physician, I love the diversity and unpredictability of my day. One minute I might be caring for several generations of a single family, and the next I might find myself performing a routine clinic procedure. As part of my care philosophy, I really believe in treating my patients as a family member and friend. I enjoy talking to my patients about their lives and not just their medical needs. In working with the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group, I enjoy the integration and collaboration throughout all departments and strong commitment to the care of our patients and members. I am also a member of the Diabetes Regional Committee and the Pediatric Leadership Committee.
How I thrive
I stay mentally healthy by spending quality time with my family. I love to bake and like traveling as often as my time allows!
