Managing your health just got easier with the Kaiser Permanente Health Ally mobile app. This app has been specifically designed for those patients who are enrolled in remote monitoring programs. With this app, our core mission is for you to be able to easily:

Explanation of Data Usage
Data will be shared with your care team for care management purposes only. Specifically:
- Analytics – Used for the purposes of app and feature performance, as well as to support you should you ever contact our Telehealth Support team.
- Bluetooth Integrated Devices – Data will be processed on-device, and then securely sent to be available for access by your care team.
- Google Health (Virtual Cardiac Rehabilitation Participants Only) – If you choose, you will have the option to connect your Google Health (formerly Fitbit) account to KP Health Ally’s systems. The following read-only permissions will be requested as part of this connection process:
- Settings – We require this access to be able to determine your current time zone information.
- Activity and Fitness – We require this access to be able to read the information about the various activity and workout events that occur, as well as things like daily and weekly summary data.
- Metrics and Measurements – We require this access to be able to read information about specific health metrics like distance, heart rate, and steps.
This data will be used to show your tracked exercises, daily and weekly summaries of steps and distances walked, as well as your heart rates during exercise and other specific activities.
This data will be used by your care team to help guide you through your prescribed Virtual Cardiac Rehabilitation program, ensuring that you can recovery safely from your recent cardiac or surgical event.
Advisements and Disclaimers
- Android App Permissions: Location – Depending upon your Android OS version, we will need to request this permission to be able to communicate between your phone and your Bluetooth-enabled medical devices only, never for the purposes of physical location tracking.
