We recognize that the recent Kona Low storm and its aftermath have been challenging for many individuals and families across our communities. Whether you’re dealing with disrupted routines, concerns about your health care, or the stress that can come with severe weather events, please know that Kaiser Permanente is here to support you. Our care teams remain available, and we’re committed to helping you access the care, services, and resources you need during recovery.
Below you’ll find information on how to get care, refill prescriptions, access behavioral health services, and connect with community support resources if you’ve been affected by the storm.
Get Care
Our Moanalua Medical Center, urgent care clinics, and medical facilities are open to provide the care you need.
- You may also visit kp.org or use the mobile app to schedule a phone, video, or e-visit.
- Get 24/7 advice or make an appointment at 1-833-833-3333 (TTY 711), Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
If you’ve left the state of Hawaii and need to get care, call 951-268-3900 (TTY 711)* or visit kp.org/getcare to learn about your options.
Prescriptions
If you need an urgent prescription or refill, you can go to any open Kaiser Permanente pharmacy. To search for a pharmacy near you, visit our Facility Directory.
If you would like your nonurgent prescriptions mailed to you, you can order them online at kp.org/pharmacy or the Kaiser Permanente app. Please note, it may take 5 to 7 days to deliver your prescriptions via mail.
You can also call 808-643-7979, and a pharmacy representative will be ready to answer any questions and provide support.
Behavioral Health Services
Kaiser Permanente offers critical mental health and addiction services and resources. Members do not need a referral to access behavioral health care at Kaiser Permanente.

Continuation of Coverage
Kaiser Permanente members affected by the storm who have outstanding medical bills are encouraged to call 1-808-432-7940 or 1-800-598-5928, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. A financial counselor can help determine eligibility and assist with applying for Medical Financial Assistance.
Lost ID or membership materials
If you lost your Kaiser Permanente ID card, photo identification, or other membership materials due to the storm, you can still get care.
Please let the appointment representative know that you lost these items due to the storm when you schedule your visit. When you arrive at a Kaiser Permanente facility, also let the front desk staff know. You will still be able to receive care.
Many members can access a digital Kaiser Permanente ID card through the Kaiser Permanente mobile app or kp.org.
Request a replacement ID card
You can request a replacement physical ID card by logging in to your kp.org account and searching for “order ID card,” or by contacting Member Services for assistance. Replacement cards are typically mailed within several business days. For assistance verifying coverage, scheduling care, or replacing membership materials, call 1‑833‑833‑3333 (TTY 711), Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Community Resources
Hawaii CARES 988
Hawaii CARES 988 is a 24/7, free support service for help with crisis, mental health, and substance abuse. If you need mental health-related or addiction crisis support, or are worried about someone else, you can also call or text 988 (TTY 711) or visit the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline’s chat for free, confidential support with a trained crisis counselor. The lifeline is provided by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
Aloha United Way – 211
Members needing help with emergency housing, food, or other essential services can call 211 (Aloha United Way). This is the state‑recommended entry point for storm‑related assistance and referrals.
State of Hawaii Disaster Assistance / Housing Support
The State of Hawaiʻi and counties are coordinating temporary housing options for residents whose homes are unsafe or uninhabitable due to the Kona Low storms. Members can be directed to:
