About me
I was born and raised in southern California by my mother and father who immigrated from Japan in their early twenties. My father's battle with cancer inspired me to become a doctor. Modern medicine prolonged his time with his family and ultimately allowed him to change his attitude from stern to light-hearted and fun-loving. The last decade of his life was filled with the most happy and loving memories.
About my practice
After completing Emergency training, I spent two years working part-time at several different hospitals before I chose Kaiser Permanente, where I feel very fortunate to be on staff. Having full access to the patients' medical records and a variety of specialty doctors on-site enables me to provide the most comprehensive and personalized care for each patient.
How I thrive
When I am not at work, I enjoy being with my husband, son and our two dogs. To stay centered, I practice yoga on a regular basis. I also love to travel and have been fortunate to explore places like Italy, Nepal, Costa Rica, Ecuador and the United Arab Emirates.
