Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I work in the Emergency Department. Members usually don't have a choice of the physician they see in our department, but hopefully with this Web page, you will get to know me better.
I emigrated here with my family from Vietnam when I was 14 years old. I have been interested in medicine ever since I was young, possibly due to my parents influence. My parents always taught me about being kind and helping those who suffer. My motivation to practice medicine was also strengthened by witnessing so many unfortunate people and circumstances in Vietnam. I graduated from UC San Diego with a degree in physiology and received my medical degree from UC Davis. I completed my training in emergency medicine at Martin Luther King Jr. General Hospital. I strongly believe in the value of family. I have been married for 18 years. I have a wonderful wife and three children. I am thankful for what the United States has done for my family and for me, and I hope to repay the kindness we have received from the people in this great country.
About my practice
I love emergency medicine, which requires doctors to make quick decisions. You must be able to think on your feet. I enjoy the thrill of making a diagnosis that can save a members life. The pace is hectic in Emergency Departments, but I do take the time to help members during their time of pain and suffering.
How I thrive
It is well known to my colleagues that I have a strong bond with my family. I spend most of my free time with my wife and children. I am an excellent chef, and cooking would have been a great career for me if I had not become a doctor. I also enjoy gardening, photography, and I am a Dallas Cowboys fan.
