Where I practice
Welcome! I'm proud to be part of a great team at Kaiser Permanente, and enjoy providing high-quality care to the people of Orange County. I’d like to share with you a little about my background, and I hope this helps you get to know me better.
I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, as the oldest of three children. My parents, who still live in Maryland, helped me develop a sense of respect and compassion for others. Though my undergraduate degree was in engineering, I felt a pull toward serving and interacting with people in the medical field. After medical school, fate led me to the West Coast—I actually met my future wife while training at UCLA. After three exciting and fulfilling years in Maryland, completing my cardiology training, we decided we’d like to raise our children in Southern California. I enjoy playing the guitar and piano, going skiing with my family, and playing and watching basketball. We like to connect with and serve others in our community by working with our church and through the foster care system. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three wonderful kids.
About my practice
Our cardiology team consists of a diverse group of doctors with a variety of interests and skills. They include specialists in noninvasive imaging, cardiac catheterization and coronary intervention, electrophysiology, and pacemaker placement. We’re fortunate to have an experienced and caring group of nurse practitioners and physician assistants who help with clinic evaluations, checkups after procedures, and pacemaker/defibrillator monitoring. We have nursing team leaders who coordinate member communication at each of our office locations, and medical assistants who help provide compassionate care while assisting with routine scheduling and clinic visits. Our goal is to provide prompt and genuine service—in short, to treat you like family. We strive to offer state-of-the-art studies as well as the latest in medical management, and we place a high priority on healthy, preventive lifestyles—particularly exercise and proper diet—to keep you active!
How I thrive
With a young family and a busy practice, balance in life is key for me. I aim to keep physically fit through a variety of exercises. I enjoy jogging, occasionally swimming, and playing basketball. Reading is important to me for professional skill sharpening, spiritual growth, and personal enjoyment. Being with my family is where I’m most comfortable. My wife and I treasure the time we have with our children—as well as brief vacations without them! Most importantly, I try to remain grounded in my faith, which reminds me to embrace humility and service, and ties my life together.
