Hello, and welcome to my Web page!
I was born in Mission Viejo. My father is a retired elementary school teacher who taught sixth grade for 35 years in the same classroom. My mother is a homemaker and my sister is a fifth-grade teacher. I became a physician because I enjoy helping others and consider myself a real "people person".
I enjoy the challenge of emergency medicine, and I know that every day at work I have the opportunity to change someone's life for the better. I work in the very team-oriented environment of emergency medicine. I played very competitive high school baseball and have always valued the idea of teamwork. This is very important in the Emergency Department, where I consistently rely on nurses, technicians, other physicians, and even patients' family members to bring high-quality care to our patients.
I enjoy snowboarding and playing tennis, baseball, and video games. I like to read science fiction short stories and novels and have attempted to write a few myself. I enjoy walking around my neighborhood to relax. I also hang out with my wife, child and friends to wind down after a tough day at work.
