Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page! I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente and look forward to working with you.
I have wanted to be a physician since I was 12 years old and was actually inspired by a Kaiser Permanente commercial on TV which told the story of a doctor empathically connecting with a teen patient. I greatly value the relationships I have with my patients and strive to provide care with empathy, compassion, and human connection.
About my practice
As a psychiatrist, I feel that real healing comes from being listened to in a safe, non-judgmental space, as well as having a genuine collaboration with the doctor to come up with a treatment plan that uniquely fits your needs. I work very closely with my colleagues in nursing and psychology, as well as with our physician's assistants, to support you through difficult feelings and life stressors.
How I thrive
I believe in a bio-psycho-social model for wellness: this includes physical health such as exercise (I enjoy running, hiking, and yoga), getting a good night's sleep, and eating balanced meals, with an emphasis on fruits and vegetables as well as home-cooked meals. I also believe in open and honest communication with family, friends, and colleagues to foster a community and collegiality. Last but not least, I prioritize my own health, both physically and mentally, so I can be fully present for you.
