Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I hope this information gives you a better sense of who I am and what I can do to help you. I work with wonderful colleagues and members at Kaiser Permanente, and I look forward to working with you, too.
I was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan. Ever since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by the human mind and body and how they work. That led me to medical school. I moved to the United States to do my post-graduate training, mostly in the Midwest. Karachi is Pakistan’s largest city and is on the ocean. I missed the ocean, beaches, and warmer weather, and that’s what attracted me to Southern California.
About my practice
Medicine in general and psychiatry in particular gives me a great opportunity to connect and help people in a meaningful way. I am able to utilize my medical knowledge and training with respect and compassion. It is a privilege to gain patient’s trust so that can open up to me as their doctor and help me understand their concerns and needs. Again I feel very honored that members have entrusted me with their care, and I strive to treat them as I would my own family.
How I thrive
I share Kaiser Permanente’s philosophy of health in mind, body, and spirit, and I try to live it in my life every day. My wife, three daughters, and I enjoy hiking, picnics at the beach, going to museums, traveling, and quiet family time at home. I love to go for runs and hikes. I also like work out at the gym.
