Hi, my name is Dr.Ramamurti. I'm glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this Web page will help you start to get to know me.
I moved from the East Coast where I completed my internal medicine training and joined Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, where I completed my training in cardiology and interventional cardiology. I have been fortunate to be with Kaiser Permanente ever since. I'm an avid jogger, and I have completed five LA marathons, many triathlons, and a few half marathons. I love music. I'm happily married and have two grown up sons. My wife is also a Kaiser Permanente physician, and we love to travel.
Medicine as a career is a very special opportunity to connect and help people in a meaningful way, utilizing medical skills and knowledge, but also listening and responding to what patients need. Being a doctor allows people to share with me their innermost secrets, fears, and hopes; it is a privilege to help patients understand what concerns them, translate what they may not grasp, facilitate getting them the appropriate evaluations, and communicate with them and their families. I feel very honored that patients have entrusted me with their care and strive to treat them as I would my own family.
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I'm a runner and now participate in the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Triathlon. I also make it a priority to set aside time to just relax or read a good novel. I firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente's philosophy of health in body, mind, and spirit, and try to live it in my life every day. My family life is my major priority. I enjoy family outings.
