Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente, where I have terrific colleagues. I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I was born and raised in Korea but also lived in the Philippines and Singapore before moving to the United States for my higher education. I completed my medical studies at Loma Linda University in California. After completing my residency at Loma Linda, I moved to the beautiful island of Guam and practiced medicine as a missionary physician for four years. I also worked at the Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Medical Center before moving to Orange County.
About my practice
I work as a hospitalist, which means I spend most of my time caring for our members who are admitted to the hospital. I feel that my career in medicine gives me a very special opportunity to help people in a meaningful way. I care for patients but also listen and respond to what they need. It is a privilege to help my patients understand their medical needs, to translate what they may not understand, and to communicate with them and their families. I feel very honored that they’ve entrusted me with their care, and I strive to treat them as I would my own family.
How I thrive
My family life is one of my major priorities. I enjoy family outings to Disneyland and to local beaches. My family and I enjoy summer vacation trips to Korea, where most of our relatives live. I also participate in health fairs at our church and give health lectures.
