About me
Thank you for visiting my Web page. I’m originally from the Denver area. I value teamwork, clear communication, and decisive action, especially during moments when members and families need it most. Supporting members during urgent situations and working closely with care teams guide how I approach each shift in the Emergency Department.
Biography
My interest in medicine began early, as a teenager, when I started volunteering in an emergency department. That experience introduced me to the wide range of cases seen in emergency medicine and solidified my interest in the fast-paced, unpredictable environment of the emergency department. I was especially drawn to the important role emergency physicians play in leading teams during resuscitations and caring for critically ill patients.
I chose emergency medicine after completing my core rotations in medical school and realizing how much I valued both the variety of cases and the pace of the specialty. In addition to clinical care, I’m actively involved in medical education. I serve as a preceptor for the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine and completed a fellowship in medical simulation after residency. Teaching through simulation allows me to support learners at all levels while emphasizing teamwork, preparation, and patient safety.
About my practice
I value the wide range of cases seen in emergency medicine and the opportunity to help members across all levels of illness and injury. Each shift brings new challenges that require teamwork, efficiency, and clear communication. Working closely with nurses, technicians, and specialists allows me to provide timely, coordinated care, especially during urgent and high-stress situations.
How I thrive
Outside of the Emergency Department, I enjoy running to stay healthy and focused. Running is something I value both for physical well-being and to reset between shifts. Maintaining personal health helps me stay prepared for the demands of emergency medicine.
