About me
I am Dr. Mani, a general urologist at Kaiser Permanente in Panorama City. I also see members at our outpatient clinic in Santa Clarita. Here you’ll find out more about me — I am really looking forward to taking care of you and your needs!
Biography
I have had the privilege of living in many parts of the United States. I grew up in Chicago and then moved to Boston to study civil and environmental engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After briefly working as an engineer in Paris, I returned to the United States to pursue a different type of calling. My sister, a medical oncologist, inspired me to seek a career in medicine. After a brief clinical research position at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, I completed my medical education at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and my residency training in urology at UC Davis. I have found this journey to be incredibly rewarding and am thrilled to be a part of the Urology Department at Panorama City!
About my practice
Urology is one of the most fascinating fields in medicine because it includes many aspects of our health. As a general urologist, I treat a wide range of medical conditions including kidney stones, enlarged prostate, urinary problems, bladder cancer, and testicular cancer. During our visit, I take time to identify the underlying problem you are facing and how it impacts your broader daily life — and then I will help you understand what is going on and how we will address it. My goal is for you to walk away from our visit learning something new about your body and how it works! I truly enjoy supporting our members through their treatment plans, whether that may be starting a new medication or undergoing surgery.
How I thrive
I have many interests, including playing tennis, taking film photos, collecting records, and playing instruments like the guitar, piano, and modular synthesizer. As someone new to Los Angeles, I also love exploring restaurants around town, going to concerts, and hiking on our many beautiful trails. Ask me about any of these interests — and during our visit, I would love to find out more about what makes you thrive! One of my favorite things about being a physician at Kaiser Permanente is connecting with the broad and diverse range of people I provide care for. I truly believe that my job as a urologist is to improve your daily life and treat your medical condition, to get you back to doing the things you love to do!
