Hello, and welcome to Web page.
In addition to my role as a full-time nephrologist, I serve as a medical director of the dialysis center. I enjoy the variety inherent in my practice. I consult patients in my office, in the hospital, and off campus in the dialysis center. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2000 as a nephrologist. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, I completed a fellowship in 1998, and had joined the faculty at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center as an assistant clinical professor in the division of nephrology and practiced clinical medicine. I am proud to belong to a nonprofit organization whose sole purpose is to promote and improve the health of our members and of the community in which we live.
Kidney diseases are an important and growing health problem in the nation today. We at Kaiser Permanente are focused not only on treatment but also on early detection of kidney disease. We have a highly qualified team of physicians, dietitians, pharmacists, and social workers, providing the best available integrated care. Treating kidney disease can be both rewarding and challenging. Members facing dialysis often have many questions and concerns. I believe it is important to listen to patients and tailor care for each individual, understanding the psychosocial factors that affect a person's health. I want my patients to know that I am here to help.
During my spare time, I spend most of my time with my two young children and my wife. I enjoy the sunny warm weather here and I like playing volleyball, tennis, and ping pong. I keep healthy and active with regular exercise and by following a vegetarian diet.
