Where I practice
I welcome you to my Web page. My name is Saba Notghi and I am a general adult and geriatric psychiatrist by training and practice. I thank you for the opportunity to inform you about myself both personally and professionally.
I am originally from Iran but I grew up from the age of seven in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. I can say that growing up and later studying medicine in the D.C. area was a wonderful experience due to the numerous cultural and educational opportunities it offered. I chose to become a doctor due to the unique position of helping others on a truly personal level, and I believe that the field of psychiatry incorporates the integration of mind, body, and soul.
About my practice
My practice focuses on adults 18 and older. I am also passionate about consulting with the geriatrics clinic on individuals suffering from cognitive disorders such as Alzheimer's dementia complicated with behavioral disturbances. I use a team approach in my practice and strive to actively involve my patients in their care. I also involve my colleagues from multiple disciplines in a collaborative and cooperative manner in the care of our patients.
How I thrive
I thrive by exercising regularly, spending time with friends and family, reading, exploring cuisines from other cultures, and watching sports. I hope to also help you find your best method to thrive.
