Welcome to my Web page. I am board certified in internal medicine, and have been practicing at Kaiser Permanente as a hospitalist since 2002. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and our members, and I look forward to taking care of you and your family should you require hospitalization.
I am originally from Northern California, but I have been living in Southern California since 1998. I always wanted to help people and see them improve their lives and eventually came to the conclusion that a career in medicine would fulfill this goal.
As a hospitalist, my practice is centered upon your care should you require hospitalization at South Bay Medical Center. I am all about compassionate medical care. We care deeply about our members and practice evidence-based medicine, but above all, we practice with a sense of compassion and understanding of you as a person. We work as a team, including subspecialists, nutritionists, and physical therapists. We strive to ensure that you have an understanding of and are educated about your medical condition so that when you are discharged from the hospital you leave better able to cope with your illness.
How do I stay well? Family time is essential to me to regenerate my mind and spirit. Spending time with my loving wife and three children feeds my heart and soul, and truly allows me to have the caring energy that is required of me at work as a physician. I also enjoy running, completing home projects in my spare time, helping to coach my children's sports teams, and I always enjoy a good meal with friends. In the end, we each have to find a way to stay healthy and happy.
