Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice.
I was born in Iran and grew up in California. I attended the University of California, San Diego, where I received a bachelor's in biochemistry with a minor in psychology. I received my medical degree at St. George's School of Medicine in Grenada, and I trained in psychiatry at Temple University in Philadelphia. I did my geriatric psychiatry fellowship at UCLA.
About my practice
Medicine as a career is a very special opportunity to connect and help people in a meaningful way, utilizing medical skills and knowledge, but also listening and responding to what people need. Being a physician and psychiatrist allows people to share with me their innermost secrets, fears, and hopes. It is a privilege to help people understand what concerns them, translate what they may not grasp, facilitate getting them the appropriate evaluations, and communicate with them and their families. I feel very honored that our members have entrusted me with their care and strive to treat them as I would my own family.
How I thrive
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I like spending time with my family. I enjoy Pilates, playing volley ball, and reading whenever I can.
