Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have the opportunity to introduce myself and tell you about my practice.
I grew up on the East Coast. I have been with Kaiser Permanente in San Diego since 1990 and am board certified in both diagnostic radiology and internal medicine.
About my practice
While my practice is now largely limited to the diagnosis of breast disease, I enjoy and am trained in all aspects of diagnostic imaging. In the past, I was director of the ultrasound section of the Radiology Department as well as co-director of magnetic resonance imaging. The most satisfying aspect of my practice is my direct interaction with members. My training enables me to understand and manage the medical and psychological aspects of breast diagnosis and to treat people with skill and compassion. I am fortunate to have a whole team of specialists that includes technologists, ultrasonographers, nurse practitioners, and a breast care coordinator to help me provide an accurate diagnosis.
How I thrive
I believe that the body (and the mind) is a temple that needs to be cared for and nurtured. I am a runner (I've run several marathons) and can often be found running on the streets around the hospital or clinic. I like to hike, row, kayak, and dance (especially tango). I belong to a book group, enjoy photography, practice yoga, and love to travel. I appreciate time with my family and friends. Laughter is the best medicine. I believe that life is a blessing and every moment is precious.
