Hello, and welcome to my Web page! I'm happy to have the chance to introduce myself and tell you about my practice.
"I grew up in Orange County. I attended college at UC Berkeley, medical school at UC San Diego, and ophthalmology residency at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. I then completed a medical retina fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Instiute in Florida, where I had the privilege of training with some of the most respected retina specialists in the country. I became an assistant professor at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute after my training, but decided that there's no substitute for living near my family in Southern California. I returned home and worked in private practice for a year and a half before joining Kaiser Permanente. Having worked at a university, at a private practice, and now at Kaiser Permanente, I have enjoyed a variety of experiences that all help me practice the best medicine I can for my patients."
While my primary area of expertise includes retinal conditions such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, I also perform cataract surgery and help with general eye problems. We have a great team of general ophthalmologists, subspecialty ophthalmologists, and optometrists in our department, and we all work closely together to provide the full range of services for our members.
To thrive, I enjoy listening to music, pretending I can play music, hiking, and creative writing. And for relaxation, nothing beats a good meal with my family and friends.
