Welcome to my Web page.
I was born and raised in Southern California. I earned my undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Southern California, and then completed my internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. My wife and I moved to the East Coast, where I completed a general cardiology fellowship at the University of Connecticut/Hartford Hospital and an additional fellowship in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation at Newark Beth Israel Hospital. We came back to Los Angeles for the Southern California weather and to be close to family. I enjoy working in the field of cardiovascular medicine because it is a fast-paced and ever-evolving field which keeps me intellectually stimulated on a daily basis.
I am a board certified cardiologist with additional certification in adult echocardiography. I completed further specialized training in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support device therapy (including short- and long-term use ventricular assist devices and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation), and cardiac transplantation. I work with the department of cardiac surgery and care for critically ill pre- and post-operative patients.
My wife (who is also a Kaiser Permanente physician) and I maintain our wellness by taking advantage of all the opportunities that the area provides. We enjoy participating in outdoor activities (including regular trips to the local farmer’s market), cooking, and spending time with family.
