Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and the members we treat, and look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I grew up in Orange, California. I went to school at UC Irvine where I majored in biological sciences. I spent my summers and vacations in China, learning the language. During medical school, I traveled to China to care for orphans and destitute children. I continued this work during my residency and spent my summers in Shanghai, China. These experiences led to me to specialize in the combined field of internal medicine and pediatrics. After residency, I moved to China with my family and spent three years taking care of orphans and the expatriate community. When I returned to the United States, I worked at Children's Hospital, Los Angeles and became fluent in Spanish. Since 2002, I have been a part of the Kaiser Permanente family.
About my practice
Our hospitalist team provides high-quality care from the moment you walk through our doors and are admitted. I am passionate about addressing various communication issues that can affect your experience as you navigate the course of your medical care.
How I thrive
I love to read. For exercise, I jog regularly around the beautiful parks near my home. Lastly, I eat a healthy balanced Mediterranean diet—literally. My wife is a native Neapolitan (Italian) and we enjoy frequent trips to the land of olive oil and sun-dried tomatoes.
