Where I practice
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this opportunity to tell you a little about my practice in pulmonary and critical care medicine, and about myself.
I was born in Cebu City, Philippines, and came to the United States with my family as an infant. I was raised in Riverside, California, and am the sixth of seven children. My father was a pediatrician and infectious disease specialist at Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center. I decided to go to medical school in my junior year of college and completed my medical school education in Chicago. I found my way back to Los Angeles for an internal medicine internship and residency, and then I went to Seattle to complete a combined fellowship and Masters of Public Health degree in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine and Occupational/Environmental Medicine. After practicing for five years in Santa Monica, I decided on a change and moved to Orange County with my wife in 2007 to join Kaiser Permanente.
About my practice
My practice at the Kaiser Permanente Alton/Sand Canyon Medical Offices includes seeing members who have various adult respiratory diseases. I also take care of acutely ill members at the Kaiser Permanente hospitals in Anaheim and Irvine. I enjoy working closely with my members to diagnose and treat their medical conditions. My goal is to optimize their well-being and maximize their body's fitness and function. I have a particular interest in the evaluation and management of occupational and environmental factors in the development of lung disease.
How I thrive
I have enjoyed participating in athletics and outdoor activities, including running, hiking, biking, and swimming, throughout my life.
