Welcome to my Web page.
I'm a graduate of Shiraz Medical School, one the most prestigious medical schools in Iran. I trained in internal medicine at the Pennsylvania State University, and in hematology/oncology at SUNY State University of New York. During my training, I performed cancer-related research.
Solving puzzles is one of my hobbies. It is challenging. It requires patience, ingenuity, and logic. In my work I have found that forming a judgment as to the appropriate course of treatment and proper diagnosis, based on symptoms, signs, medical tests and laboratory results, in a rational and consistent framework, is akin to solving a puzzle. Most important of all, it involves establishing, and maintaining, rewarding therapeutic relationships with patients. I find the whole process personally fulfilling. My enthusiasm for hematology and oncology blossomed during my medical school rotations on the hematology - oncology service and grew over a six years of residency and fellowship training. Cancer care is challenging, complex and requires teamwork and coordination. Our practice at Kaiser Permanente is well established, and provides our members with specialized, comprehensive, and compassionate care.
I like photography, playing tennis, and alpine skiing.
