About me

Hello, my name is Michael Eden.

Biography

I am from a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. I attended college near home and studied biology with the initial intention of working as a marine biologist. I was a pitcher for my college baseball team. I applied broadly for residency and was accepted at a program in Ventura, California. During my residency, I met a lovely woman, got married, had a baby girl, and now call Southern California home.

About my practice

I decided to work as a hospitalist after residency, which means I act essentially as a primary care physician for people who are sick and need to stay in the hospital for any length of time. I take care of a variety of health conditions on my own but also help coordinate care with specialists like cardiologists or nephrologists. I like to take an informative and collaborative approach in hospital care with the hope that members gain an understanding of their underlying medical conditions and their treatment plans, and I hope that a newfound understanding helps members feel comfortable with the plan and capable of continuing their care once they leave the hospital.

How I thrive

My hobbies include gardening, riding my bike, working out, hiking, and spending time with my family. After more than 30 years of Cleveland weather, I find it hard to stay inside, especially in the winter months.
