About me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I am pleased to introduce myself and my practice to you. I am a pathologist, and I am honored to be part of a wonderful team at Kaiser Permanente, where we strive to provide you with diagnostic excellence.

Biography

After graduating from Ruprecht-Karls University of Heidelberg Medical School in Germany, I came to the United States for residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Florida. I continued my postgraduate training in hematopathology and cytopathology at the University of California San Diego. I was fortunate to become a part of Kaiser Permanente, with all its wonderful opportunities to practice medicine at its finest.

About my practice

Surgical pathology is the diagnosis of disease based on tissue samples. I am very fortunate to be practicing in a wonderful group, where my colleagues and I work together to establish diagnoses for our patients. Our diagnoses help determine and guide appropriate follow-up and treatment plans for our patients and make us a vital part in the care for our patients.

How I thrive

Maintaining a healthy balance in all aspects of life is very important for a happy and healthy life in which you can thrive. I balance my exciting work life with an active outdoor life, spending time with family and friends, exercising, and traveling the world. I enjoy life at the beach with long walks and runs, as well as hiking the many wonderful trails around beautiful San Diego. My favorite way to end the day is to watch the sun set over the waves of the Pacific Ocean.
