About me
I’m a board-certified urologist and serve as the director of Urologic Oncology for Southern California Permanente Medical Group at Kaiser Permanente’s Los Angeles Medical Center. I’ve dedicated my career to caring for those facing urologic cancers, and I’m deeply committed to guiding you through every step of your care with compassion, clarity, and trust.
Biography
I completed my medical degree at UCLA and went on to complete my internship in general surgery and residency in urology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. I then pursued advanced fellowship training in urologic oncology through the Society of Urologic Oncology at USC. Before joining Kaiser Permanente in 2020, I served as an assistant professor at Emory University for 5 years.
About my practice
My Cancer Subspecialty
My primary focus is urologic oncology — cancers that affect the urinary system and male reproductive organs, such as prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancers. I work closely with other cancer specialists to ensure your treatment plan is not only based on evidence and current research but also personalized to meet your needs and goals.
National Expertise on Multidisciplinary Teams
Throughout my career, I’ve been an active leader in multidisciplinary cancer care. At Kaiser Permanente, I provide regional expertise to our Urology Tumor Board, helping coordinate complex treatment plans that bring together surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists. This team-based approach means you receive thorough and thoughtful care.
Research and Clinical Trials
Research has always been an important part of how I care for members. I’ve been involved in numerous clinical trials and academic studies aimed at improving outcomes for people with urologic cancers. I believe in using the latest research and technology to offer you treatment options suited to your needs, including access to clinical trials when appropriate.
How I thrive
Outside of medicine, I value time with my family, staying active, and giving back to the community. My goal is to bring both professional excellence and a personal touch to your care. You’re not just a diagnosis — you’re a person with a story, and it’s my privilege to walk with you on this journey.
