Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this opportunity to introduce myself. It's important for you to feel comfortable with your physician, so hopefully this page will help you learn a bit about my practice and myself.
I grew up in a small town in rural, upstate New York, and went to medical school with the intent of becoming a family practitioner. Along the way, I became fascinated with neuroscience—the science of the brain—and began to consider specializing in psychiatry. I feel very fortunate to have a career that allows me the opportunity to work closely with children and their families.
My practice focuses on children, teens, and young adults. I treat ADHD, depression, anxiety, and a range of other illnesses. I cannot do this alone—at our clinic we use a team approach. I'm lucky to work closely with excellent colleagues to provide high-quality care. Within our treatment team, my role is to prescribe and manage medications.
A long run while chatting with good friends is one of my favorite ways to stay active. I also enjoy hiking with my family. I make an effort to appreciate the small daily events that bring me joy—such as the sounds of my family laughing or the stories my members share with me.
