Where I practice
Welcome and thank you for checking out my Web page! I am excited to be able to share a little bit about myself. I have been with Kaiser Permanente since May 2007, but I have been a practicing pediatrician in the community since 2001.
I am originally from San Diego (Go Chargers!). I started at UC San Diego, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in chemistry, then I was off to Boston to attend Tufts University School of Medicine (go Red Sox!) where I earned my medical degree. My next stop was UC Irvine Medical Center, where I finished my pediatric residency. As you can see, I love sports! I speak Spanish thanks to my mother who is from Avila, Spain. I have two beautiful children who keep me busy with sports, homework, and Boy Scouts. I enjoy snowboarding in the winter and swimming and snorkeling in the summer especially at our favorite destination, Maui!
About my practice
I have a phenomenal team here at the Kaiser Permanente Foothill Ranch Pediatrics Department, with great colleagues and staff. We work very well together, like a well-oiled machine. I actually refer to them as my work family. I like our members and their parents to feel comfortable with me and with the clinic, so I do my best to listen to my families and their concerns.
How I thrive
I thrive by keeping active in CrossFit four days a week; I am truly addicted to it. In addition, I love running and have run in a few half marathons and 10Ks. I try very hard to keep my kids and myself active. I try to set a good example for my kids to follow. I also treasure down time with my family, to rest my mind and my body.
