Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself to you.
I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. I attended Whittier College in eastern Los Angeles for my undergraduate work, always knowing I wanted to be a physician. After graduating from Whittier, I was honored to spend two years studying in Oxford, England as a Rhodes Scholar. Upon my return, I attended medical school at UCLA, and I found my calling in gynecologic oncology. After graduating from medical school, I continued training at UCLA where I completed my residency in obstetrics and gynecology and fellowship in gynecologic oncology. I enjoyed serving as the Director of the Division of Gynecology at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center prior to joining the Kaiser Permanente family.
About my practice
Working as a part of a great team and treating the diverse patients of the Los Angeles area is a pleasure. As a gynecologic oncologist, I specialize in treating women with malignant and pre-malignant diseases of the female genital tract, and in complex pelvic surgery for women with benign gynecologic conditions. It is a privilege to be able to help care for women during what is sometimes the most difficult time of their lives. I am inspired every day by the strength and positive attitude of my patients, and I enjoy building long term relationships with them. I strive to treat all patients as individuals, to help patients understand their disease, and to work with them to develop the best possible treatment plan that will allow them to reach their goals.
How I thrive
I enjoy gardening and spending time with my husband and twin girls looking for good restaurants and fun adventures. And feel free to ask me what it's like to have a 250-pound dog in the house!
