Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page! I am thrilled to be a Kaiser Permanente provider and hope that you find my site informative. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your Ob/Gyn physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
I come from a multicultural family. My parents are from Hawaii and I am a combination of Chinese and Portuguese ethnicities. I was born in Southern California and call Orange County my home. I graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a B.S. in the biologic sciences. I then completed my medical education at Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire, after which I returned to California to complete a four-year surgical residency in Ob/Gyn at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center. I was also in private practice for three years prior to joining Kaiser Permanente Orange County in 2011.
About my practice
My practice is all about making you feel comfortable, encouraging questions, providing you with answers, and giving you excellent care. I enjoy the surgical aspects of our field. I also have an interest in educating teens in the community as well as in my practice.
How I thrive
I thrive by spending time with my family, my boyfriend, and my chihuahua Dora. I enjoy adventure travel. Since my first trip to Europe at the age of 10, I've been hooked. I enjoy trips that get my adrenaline going such as climbing mountains like Kilimanjaro, swimming with sharks in Tahiti, bungee jumping in Nepal, exploring temples in Tibet, and riding a boat through the Amazon just to name a few. I also enjoy the outdoors such as taking my dog for bike rides on the beach and rollerblading.
