Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I am a general thoracic surgeon at West Los Angeles and South Bay Medical Centers. I hope this brief introduction helps you get to know me. I look forward to meeting you, and partnering with you in caring for your health.
I was born in Missouri, but emigrated with my family to Nigeria when I was little. I came back to the United States after high school, and did the majority of my schooling and training in Southern California, with the exception of five years in Washington, D.C. for my general surgery training at Howard University Hospital.
I am a general thoracic surgeon specializing in the surgical management of benign and malignant diseases of the lung, esophagus, and mediastinum. My areas of interest include minimally invasive management of esophageal motility disorders, esophageal cancer, lung cancer, sympathectomy for hyperhidrosis, and mediastinal mass resections.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing soccer, running, and traveling. In particular regard to traveling, I believe in the quote, “Life is like a book, and those who have not travelled have only but read the first page.”
