Katlin Rose Poladian, MD
I speak: English
My gender: Female
About me
Hi! My name is Dr. Poladian-Toner, and I am a board-certified dermatologist. I usually go by Dr. Poladian (pronounced pole-lady-in), but if Dr. Toner is easier, I answer to that too! I am delighted to be serving my community at Kaiser Permanente in Orange County!
Biography
Born and raised in the Orange County area, I was a multi-sport athlete at San Clemente High School. I then attended Princeton University, where I played varsity women’s water polo. As someone who values team sports, I am honored to be a part of your healthcare team.
Before returning to the West Coast, I completed my postbaccalaureate certificate in premedical sciences in New York City at Columbia University and attended medical school at Wake Forest School of Medicine in North Carolina. Having been in the sun most of my life, my interest in dermatology continued to grow during medical school, and I was involved in several dermatology research projects. At graduation, I was awarded the Charles M. Howell Award for excellence in dermatology.
I was grateful to match at UC Irvine for my internship in internal medicine so I could move back home and be close to my family during the COVID pandemic. I completed my dermatology residency training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where I treated patients with a wide variety of dermatological conditions, and I took interest in our hidradenitis suppurativa specialty clinic. I look forward to meeting you and working together as a team.
About my practice
The focus of my practice is on general dermatology. I believe in treating members as if they were my family members. As an undergrad, I studied sociology, which informs my patient-driven approach to dermatology. I know we are all a product of communities, resources, and environments that shape our health and well-being. Communication and empathy are important to me. I want to help members be confident and smiling in their skin.
How I thrive
I believe in leading a purpose-driven, balanced life. I love swimming, traveling, playing board games, and watching shows and movies. I had lots of fun cheering on my husband while he played in the NFL for 7 seasons, and now we get to enjoy watching games together. Also, we like experimenting with new allergy-friendly recipes in the kitchen and finding restaurants with allergy-friendly food options.
