Welcome to my Web page, and thank you for taking some time to learn more about my practice and me as your urologist.
I was born in Korea. I immigrated to the United States at age 12. I am fluent in Korean. I became interested in urology because my mother had a kidney transplant during medical school. I went to UC Irvine medical school and completed urology residency at Kaiser Permanente Sunset in 2005. I did a fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in pelvic floor reconstruction under world famous Dr. Gary Leach.
I specialize in general urology, urinary incontinence, voiding dysfunction, and prosthetics covering female and male members. I am now a director of pelvic floor reconstruction and prosthetic surgery at the South Bay Urology Department. I also teach urology chief residents from Kaiser Permanente's L.A. urology residency program.
Family, exercise, and golf are what keep me grounded. I am trying to eat better (less carbs and processed food). I am an avid golfer with a handicap around 12, and I love deep sea fishing as well. I have a beautiful and wonderful wife and feel so blessed to have her in my life. We have three wonderful sons. I thank God every day for my blessed and healthy life.
