Welcome to my Web page. I’m pleased to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice.
I’m practically a native Southern Californian and have lived in San Diego off-and-on since 1963. Even when I was a young child, I knew I wanted to be a doctor. I wanted to be able to make a real difference in people's lives. After graduating from high school, I did volunteer work in health care clinics in Guatemala. I completed my undergraduate and medical studies at UC San Diego, and my radiology residency training at the University of California in Orange and Los Angeles counties. I completed my radiology fellowship at Stanford University in Palo Alto.
I’m a diagnostic radiologist and have practiced at Kaiser Permanente San Diego Medical Center and outpatient clinics for more than 23 years. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and our members. As a diagnostic radiologist, I feel honored that members and their health care providers have entrusted me with their care, and I strive to treat them as I would my own family. I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, but we are also here to help you when you are sick. We want to be your partner in health.
I firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente's emphasis on the health and well-being of the whole person, and I try to incorporate it into my own life. My family life is my major priority. My wife, two young children, and I enjoy trips to Big Bear Lake, Catalina Island, and the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park. We also treat ourselves to semi-quiet family time at home. I like photography, swimming in the ocean, sailing, SCUBA diving, tennis, and running. I’m also a longtime Padres and Chargers fan.
