Where I practice
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I am a physician in Kaiser Permanente’s Ob-Gyn Department. Although I do enjoy practicing the entire range of ob-gyn, I have a special fondness for caring for expectant mothers (and fathers, too!) through obstetrics.
As a young child in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I was introduced to the magical world of medicine through our neighborhood family doctor. It was his example of dedication to the community that taught me about caring for the people and for the community. When I’m not taking care of members in the exam room, I am often at local community groups caring for the community at large.
About my practice
As a physician in obstetrics, I feel that I am especially lucky to be part of one of the happiest moments of life. When you and baby-to-be come to see me, you will find a true partner in health, even if it means telling you the tough things like, “If you don’t quit smoking or nourish your body, you may hurt your baby.” My ultimate goals are to help every mother and child have a healthy and memorable pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience.
How I thrive
Meditation, yoga, and exercise help me thrive in mind, body, and spirit. In addition to that, I find that I also thrive by helping my family and my community thrive. I have served on many nonprofit boards, I play a strong, supportive role in my wife’s activities in local nonprofits, and I spend a lot of time with my children. My truly wonderful wife, three extraordinary children, and I all enjoy reading and traveling extensively.
