Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself, and look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I grew up in Southern California and attended college at UC Davis. After completing medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, and training at the UCLA/San Fernando Valley program in internal medicine and cardiology, I came to Kaiser Permanente in 1997 because I wanted to mix raising a family with my career.
About my practice
I find I can practice high-quality cardiology with the support of my partners, and still be actively involved in my children's lives. We have advanced the technology at our disposal, and surround ourselves with a wealth of talent and expertise, which supports us in delivering health care—whether we are preventing an illness or treating one. We aim to be at the forefront of member safety and preventive care. I view myself as a partner in the health care of members. I want you as members to participate actively in your care, take responsibility for your medications and appointments, and do your best to follow a healthy lifestyle. I promise to take into account your individual circumstances when choosing a treatment plan. We have available services in outpatient general cardiology, pacemaker implantation, diagnostic testing, and in-hospital care. In partnership with the Los Angeles Medical Center, we have electrophysiology and cardiac surgery, as well as advanced interventional cardiology.
How I thrive
Now that my three boys are older and involved in their own lives, I have more time to commit to my horses, riding, and spending time with my husband—who is also a cardiologist. I think it’s important to maintain a balance between work and home life, and to mix in a generous supply of exercise and learning.
