Where I practice
Thank you for visiting my Web page. I hope it will give you a chance to learn more about me so we can develop a closer bond as patient and doctor.
I'm a native Californian, born and raised in Garden Grove. I figured out that I wanted to be a doctor when I was in the third grade and never found anything that could quite distract me from that goal. I even knew back then that I wanted to be a kids' doctor. I love to spend my spare time with my family. I have eclectic tastes in music and am a fan of baseball and football (especially the Anaheim Angels and Brigham Young University Cougars).
About my practice
As a pediatrician, I believe my job is more than just dishing out medications to kids. I always try to help my patients' parents learn about what is going on with their kids and what can be expected, and then we make decisions together. I feel that if I do my job well, I can empower parents to learn how to raise healthy children through vaccinations and healthy life styles, and that they will stay well for many years after they leave home. I'm also involved in hospital pediatrics and administration.
How I thrive
In my last year of medical residency, I realized that I had been neglecting my health throughout my medical training. I ditched soda for water and started watching what I ate. I exercise at least five days a week. I jump at any chance to play a team sport (basketball, volleyball, softball, or football). I feel great, and my waistline is much trimmer than it used to be.
