Where I practice
Hello and welcome to my Web page! I am very excited to have the opportunity to allow you to get to know me. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician and it is my hope that you will be able to learn more about me and my philosophy on practicing medicine.
After growing up in Southern California, I traveled to the Midwest where I attended the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine on a scholarship. Upon graduation, I was very happy to return to my native sunny California for good. I came from a very large extended family and now have a growing family of my own. As long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a physician. My natural inclinations are toward the sciences, problem solving, and working to help people. Practicing medicine allows me to thrive in all of these areas.
About my practice
I am blessed to be an internal medicine physician with Kaiser Permanente. Medicine as a profession is a very special opportunity to connect with and help people in a unique and meaningful way. My partnership with my patients is more than utilizing my medical skills and knowledge. It is also about listening and responding to what patients need. It is my privilege to help patients when they are sick but I find it just as meaningful to help patients avoid illness through healthy living. I am honored when patients entrust me with their care and my goal is to treat them as I would my own family.
How I thrive
Having balance in life is as vital to me as it is to the Kaiser Permanente philosophy. Spending quality time with my family is very important and I really love just horsing around with my kids. I thoroughly enjoy traveling and playing tennis. I love to read a good novel when I am feeling less active.
