Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to share my professional qualifications and vision with you.
My husband and I are originally from Chicago. We moved to the Los Angeles area in 2004. We love Southern California for everything it has to offer-from the weather and activities, to the opportunity to work for Kaiser Permanente. I became a doctor because of my love for the sciences and interacting with people. It has been a fulfilling and rewarding adventure.
I am a general surgeon and in addition to providing excellent care and applying the standards of evidence-based medicine, I believe that every patient should be treated with compassion. I strive to give my patients the individual attention they need no matter the diagnosis. I work closely in a group with seven other general surgeons who are committed to providing the continuity of care we would want for ourselves and our family.
I believe in the therapeutic effects of exercise, both for the mind and the body. I run and walk twice a day with my husband and our dog. I have participated in fundraising runs for Breast Cancer awareness for the past 10 years. For the last two years, I have also run in the Kaiser Permanente sponsored Disney Half Marathon, placing in the top 10 percent of all women in 2007. Being outdoors, whether it is walking, running, or hiking, gives me a chance to clear my mind and prepare for the day ahead.
