Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. My passion is medicine, a lifelong dream of mine. Thank you for taking time to learn more about my practice, and I look forward to partnering with you to care for your health.
I immigrated to the United States when I was 11 years old. I grew up in San Diego. I went to UC San Diego for my undergraduate studies, majoring in microbiology, and I graduated magna cum laude. I entered UC Davis medical school, followed by a residency at UC San Diego Medical Center. After completing my residency, I joined Kaiser Permanente and have been happy here ever since. Being a multicultural individual, I have great appreciation for diversity in health care. I have published articles in science journals that examine the cultural and social barriers to ethnic minority groups that prevent them from receiving breast cancer screenings. This work led me to pursue international medicine. I have participated in many medical missions to Guatemala, Vietnam, and Cambodia. I’m looking forward to continuing this work in the future.
About my practice
In my practice, I see patients who are hospitalized. I also have an interest in international health. It has always been one of my passions to work in international health and care for underserved people. I also have a special interest in caring for the LGBT community with compassion, understanding, and integrity.
How I thrive
I like to keep myself balanced emotionally and physically. I exercise to keep myself physically active, and I travel the world to keep my life perspective in check. I like to read, listen to music, and watch movies. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends.
