Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page! I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my work as a physician at Kaiser Permanente.
I am a first-generation immigrant from Taiwan. My family and I settled in the East San Gabriel Valley area when I was two years old. My parents have made many sacrifices so that my two older brothers and I can have better lives here in the United States, for which I will forever be grateful. Growing up in the Los Angeles area, I have always been amazed by the diversity of people coming from all over the world. I majored in business economics during undergraduate years at UCLA, earned my medical degree from UC San Diego, then returned to the Los Angeles area to complete my internal medicine residency program at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. I also completed an additional two years of fellowship training in the field of allergy and immunology at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center.
About my practice
I am very privileged to work with a wonderful, dedicated group of medical staff. Working with Kaiser Permanente is rewarding because of the camaraderie that exists among the medical staff, from physician colleagues to medical assistants and nurses. We will work with you as a team to meet your medical needs through individualized treatment plans, empowerment with knowledge and insight of relevant medical conditions, and tools to keeping yourself healthy. I expect each patient to be an active participant in his or her medical care. I enjoy practicing primary care because I can follow patients over an extended period of time and cultivate long-lasting patient-physician relationships. Within this setting I see a wide variety of medical conditions affecting different organ systems, but with emphasis on preventative care.
How I thrive
Spending quality time with my family and friends is very important to me. I like to take advantage of the ample cultural and dining attractions in the greater southern California area. I am also an avid commercial aviation enthusiast. My aviation-related hobbies range from reading aviation magazines to aviation photography to watching planes in action at airports. I also enjoy bowling, studying trivia, learning foreign languages, and traveling with my family.
