Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I am very happy to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself so that you can make a well-informed decision in choosing a physician. I feel it is very important for our members to feel comfortable with their physicians.
I was born in Afghanistan. My family immigrated to the United States when I was about 10. I grew up in Southern California, then received my bachelor's degree from UCLA and medical degree from St George's . I completed my residency at Kaiser Permanente in Fontana. I went into medicine because I genuinely like helping people feel better. Growing up, I saw many people suffer due to very preventable causes, which motivated me to go into family medicine.
About my practice
I feel that listening to people's concerns and treating them as if they were part of my own family are the most important parts of an office visit. I believe prevention is the key to total wellness, and I am very fortunate to be part of an organization like Kaiser Permanente that shares the same philosophy. I have always been interested in the benefits of a healthy diet and exercise. I worked as a personal trainer while in college, and I have seen firsthand how a healthy diet and regular exercise can positively impact a person's total well-being.
How I thrive
I believe having a well-balanced life helps me be the best physician that I can be. In my free time, I exercise regularly, follow a healthy diet, and enjoy activities such as hiking, doing yoga on the beach, and traveling. I also spend a lot of time with my family. I have an older sister and a younger brother as well as 3 nieces and a nephew, whom I love to babysit whenever I can. I also volunteer at a free clinic to help those who cannot afford health insurance.
