Welcome to my Web page. I have had the privilege of being a Kaiser Permanente physician and serving our members with high-quality medical care for 15 years.
I earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Oberlin College in Ohio in 1988 and then received my medical degree from The Ohio State University in 1992. I am board certified in otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat) for which I completed training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1997. I also completed further subspecialty training in otology-neurotology (ear problems) at the University of Minnesota in 1999.
My practice is divided into seeing patients with common ear, nose, and throat problems, as well as more specialized ear problems and salivary gland disorders. I have extensive experience in ear surgery for chronic infections and to restore hearing. I use the latest surgical techniques to achieve better results. An example of this is a new technique called sialoendoscopy. This advancement allows us to treat saliva gland stones and infections with miniaturized endoscopes and avoid open incisions.
Staying physically fit helps me balance my busy schedule. Swimming every day allows me to relax and refocus my priorities. Outside of work, my priority is spending time with my wife and daughter.
