About me
Welcome! I’m Dr. Evelen Soliman. I am honored to care for members from many different backgrounds and life stages, and I hope this page helps you feel comfortable getting to know me.
Biography
I was raised in Southern California, completed my undergraduate education at UC Irvine, and did my post baccalaureate studies at Columbia University in New York City before pursuing medical school and residency training in obstetrics and gynecology (ob/gyn). Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, I worked in underserved communities, an experience that shaped my commitment to inclusive, compassionate care.
I currently serve as the Assistant Chief of the Ob/Gyn Department. In addition to my clinical work, I support team development and a collaborative care environment that reflects the diversity of our member population.
Outside of medicine, I love cooking, exploring new adventures with my 3 children, and people-watching around Los Angeles — a city defined by its cultural richness and diversity.
About my practice
I believe high-quality care begins with listening and partnership. I strive to create a welcoming, respectful space where members feel heard, supported, and empowered to participate in decisions about their health.
Caring for members during the menopause transition is especially meaningful to me. I am a North American Menopause Society (NAMS )-certified menopause practitioner, and I value helping members navigate this unique stage of life with clarity, compassion, and guidance that is based on evidence and current research. I recognize that menopause affects each person differently, and I take an individualized approach that considers symptoms, personal goals, and overall well-being.
Across all stages of care, my goal is for members to feel informed, respected, and confident that their concerns are taken seriously.
How I thrive
I thrive by staying connected to my community, family, and personal well-being. I value checking in with others and believe that every member of my community plays an important role. I enjoy mentoring young people and bringing people together — colleagues, friends, and family — believing that shared meals and connection support overall well-being. I involve my children in these experiences to help foster values of service, empathy, and community.
I stay active through regular exercise and swimming, enjoy preparing healthy meals as a family, and value continued growth through podcasts and books focused on self-improvement.
