About me

Welcome! I am a physiatrist in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department. I feel very fortunate to work as a physician at Kaiser Permanente, helping members recover from musculoskeletal injuries, stay active, and improve their quality of life.

Biography

I am originally from New York City. I received my undergraduate degree from Cornell University, where I studied design and human factors engineering. Inspired by my parents, who worked in healthcare, I decided to pursue a career in medicine. I received my medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed my internship at Pennsylvania Hospital, where I was honored as Intern of the Year. I subsequently completed residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at New York-Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia and Cornell University. During my training, I served as chief resident and was honored with the Physician of the Year House Staff Award. I remained at New York-Presbyterian Hospital after residency to complete additional Accredited fellowship training in interventional spine and sports medicine, developing further expertise in musculoskeletal ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and regenerative treatment options. After training, I practiced in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City prior to transitioning to Kaiser Permanente in Southern California.

About my practice

I treat a wide range of musculoskeletal, sports, and spine injuries with an approach that focuses on maximizing function and optimizing quality of life. I use state-of-the-art tools such as high-resolution musculoskeletal ultrasound and fluoroscopy for both diagnosis and precise treatments. I believe that knowledge empowers members, and I educate each individual about his or her condition, treatment options, injury prevention steps, and lifestyle changes for greater musculoskeletal health and well-being.

How I thrive

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, and, of course, eating delicious food. I am very active and love hiking, playing basketball, and year-round outdoor activities available in Southern California. I believe strongly as a sports medicine physician that exercise is critically important to not only our physical fitness but also our emotional well-being.
