Welcome to my Web page! Thank you for taking some time to get to know the physician behind the radiology report. Radiologists have less contact with members than some other physicians; however, we play an important role in your care.
I was born in San Francisco but grew up in many countries around the world. My father worked for the State Department, so I traveled extensively growing up. I was exposed to many cultures and different people, which I think has helped me throughout my life. Living in some very poor countries such as Haiti led me to a seek a career in medicine so that I could help others, including those less fortunate than myself.
As a radiologist, I take images of your body and then consult with your physician about any important findings. My special interests are sports medicine and musculoskeletal diseases. Using the imaging information we provide, together with other clinical and laboratory findings, your physician can try to find answers to your medical issues. I hope this helps you understand the important role a radiologist plays in your care.
Like you, I want to stay healthy and live a long, rewarding life. To that end, I try to lead a balanced lifestyle, which is not always easy. My forms of exercise include swimming (pool and ocean), cycling, surfing, and running until my joints give out! My spirit is nurtured by a loving wife, my two accomplished sons, good friends, and a small dog who would come to work with me if he was permitted. I also enjoy concerts, reading, and exploring planet Earth locally as well as further afield with my family, as time permits.
