Where I practice
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. My friends and family call me Betty. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself and tell you about my practice.
I was born at Harbor City Kaiser Permanente, and raised in the Los Angeles area. I earned my undergraduate degree at Yale University in New Haven, CT. I attended medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. I returned home to complete a five-year orthopedic surgery residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and then did a 12-month fellowship in adult and pediatric spinal reconstructive surgery at the Norton Leatherman Spine Center in Louisville, KY.
About my practice
I perform surgery on the adult and pediatric spine in the neck (cervical), upper back (thoracic), and lower back (lumbosacral) for many different conditions involving the bones, discs, joints, and ligaments. I perform minimally invasive procedures, as well as extensive reconstructions of the spinal column. I hope that you never need to have surgery on your spinal column, but if you do, my team will help you in a compassionate and caring way. We have physician assistants that work closely with us on a daily basis. We also have a case manager that is dedicated to facilitate the needs of our patients.
How I thrive
I thrive by spending time with my husband, three children, and dog Trouper. We often take family trips enjoying the great outdoors by camping, hiking, and traveling. I also enjoy cooking and gardening. I try to inspire those around me to live each day to its fullest.
